About the Event
Looking for a fun and creative activity these school holidays? Join us for a hands-on Paint & Plant Terracotta Pot Workshop, perfect for kids aged 4 and up, parents, grandparents, and anyone who wants to get creative together!
In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll paint your own terracotta pot with your unique design, then plant a little seedling friend to take home. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly environment where kids and adults can enjoy quality time while getting creative and connecting with nature.
All materials are provided, including pots, paints, brushes, plants, and potting mix, so all you need to bring is your imagination!
ACCURATE ADDRESS for Google Maps & Navigation: Surfers Paradise AFC Demons Clubhouse 119 Ashmore Road, Sir Bruce Small Park, Benowa QLD 4217 (Ashmore Road entry — not the bowls club) If you’re coming via Ashmore Road, pass the pottery place and continue until just after the traffic lights. The clubhouse is on your left/right – not the pottery place, but just after it.
There are several entries to the AFC grounds — don’t worry, any will work. For the clubhouse, use the Ashmore Road entry. See the event photo for a visual reference.
Please note: the workshop requires a minimum number of participants. If the minimum isn’t met, the session may be cancelled or rescheduled, and we’ll notify you by email.
Q&A
Q: Do both the parent and child need to pay?
A: Yes, please purchase one ticket for each pot and plant you’d like to do. For example, if you and your child each want to paint and plant your own, that’s two tickets. You’re also welcome to work together on one project—just one ticket needed in that case.
Q: If my child participates alone, how many tickets do I need to buy?
A: Just one ticket! Each ticket covers one pot and one plant, along with all materials needed for your child to enjoy the workshop.
